I’ve been training at Yemaso for a couple months now, and it has already changed my life–all for the better. It’s become the mechanism by which I develop myself physically, spiritually and emotionally. Marcos, owner and professor, is very demanding. But I believe it’s because he wants Yemaso to continue being the most competitive jiu jitsu academy in Sacramento, and because there’s so much to learn that he has to be efficient with how he teaches. That being said, so many people at the academy, including Marcos, have been incredibly giving with their patience and time. While it is demanding, it’s also a very supportive environment. If you’re willing to take a little direction, practice humility and put in the work, there’s no limit to how much you can grow here. If you’re interested in seeing if it’s a good fit, drop by a few minutes before a beginner’s class and you’ll be taken care of.
